In addition to being her bodyguard, Sharko is very fiercely loyal to Marina and is in love with her. He often gets angry over anyone that flirts with her and often beats up his nemesis, Zig who often tries to eat her.
He is very strong with bamboo being the only thing he can't break. Though he often shows the fins of a shark, he sometimes becomes very muscular as part of a gag.
